Week #3 Part B: Developing a Brand

This is actually my first time to consider a business brand's so that I am just a bit excited. I think that building original brand is an important for business. I don't have business my own but there is the company exists in Japan that my parents created ever since I was born. I do help sometimes my father. what they doing is that simply to say "delivery". I think that it will categorized as transportation. I will might be working to help parents business.

There are a few website of the company to introduce type of business in the internet. But it does not have specific logo. Because there is no logo of his company, this opportunity is good for me to think about it. Since it is truck driver business, I want to make a logo that everybody will be able to notice that it is transportation company. If I need to create logo, I would choose blue and yellow because he used this two colors. I want to make it simple but noticeable.

So.... about strategy, I want to sell service to any people. The reason why I came up with service is because there are so many transportation companies exist in Japan but most of people do just delivery some stuffs that requested from customer. Doing service is easy to say. However, continue is hard things to do, it can lead to be trust. So I selected service in the strategy.

I asked my dad if he had ever surveyed from worker. He told me Not often time. He had done a few time. If I was a boss and running the company, I would make a small survey for worker to get another ideas or things that I need to fix.

Finally, there are so many things that I need to or have to consider about a brand to create a logo for business deeply. To be honest, I think it will be a simple and easy logo, but I think the important thing in making a logo is whether it is conspicuously creative or if it is fits.

  1. Hi Yoshinori,

It might make more sense for your dad to survey the customers instead of the workers. You want to get a customer profile so you know what kind of people use the service. Then you will know who to target the web site to, people similar to your current customers. I think it would be exciting to create a website for your father's business when he doesn't have one now. It would be great if you could increase his business.

    Regards,

    Jan
