Week #4 Part B : Defining YOUR Target Market

Fictitious business

To begin this post, I want to state that the company I am going to be working through this semester is a real company that exists in Japan by running in my family However, I want to take this opportunity consider as a fictitious business or a fake company.

Basically, what my parents is doing for running a company is transportation or delivery. I think that they work six business day and one day-off, every single week. There are seven trucks in the company. Sometimes, there is emergency call from affiliated company. There are many companies like my father’s one. If he is could not deliver due to out of cars, he recommends another similar company. It's been 23 years since my parents' company was established. I'm 22 years old, so I'm one year younger.

The biggest reason why I selected is because they do not use social media for their business, even though there’s might be more opportunities to meet customers. I was kind of shocked. They have some websites to get employees and to promote their business. But it’s not attractive in my opinion, it was old style. I guess my customers or clients are anyone, any categories who wants to use my company. The company includes myself, using social media for a business is completely new stuffs. Because of that, I selected my parents business as a fake company. I will make this only in this class.

I hope to get some skills or knowledge for social media use to the company because I try to want it to be a more bigger company because a company is a small.
