Week #13 Part A : Online Advertising - Analysis of the Marketplace
This week I am going to look about online advertising. Now, there are so many original advertising exist we can see on any social platform both positively and negatively. I feel that making online business and promoting them by social platform as advertising need to think about right place. depending on type of business.
Youtube
First of all, we can see a lot of advertising on Youtube. I personally hate stupid ads 5 - 15 seconds, sometimes 5 minutes. Some promotion Ads are targeting specifically, some Ads are annoying. One thing I want somebody to fix is kinds of ads that we see on Youtube. Often time I see ads on Youtube is not relating to a video we click to. I feel so annoying about it. So, I think as my opinion, people also don't like Ads because it is annoying, and we feel we are wasting time. I feel the most annoying type of ad is music promotion. They destroy my mood when I try to find something new on YouTube.
Instagram and Facebook and so on.
In this type of media ads, their promotion ads are good outlook. They looks like professional. They also used call to action on their ads. But, I don't like them because their app that are promoting on social media are not free. I feel little bad.
If I compare the impact of traditional advertising such as newspapers, magazines, billboards, radio, TV, etc to advertising done on Social Media, I assume that both are same. It might be more effective to use social media than old style like magazine due to online society now.
I sometimes watch whole advertising at any social media platform due to my curiosity. Youtube is the one I most likely watch because there is an Ads. Some of Ads are really really good made and fun to watch, be able to watch again and again if they are the category that I am interested in. However, some ad are annoying enough. I don't really know how that ads work to appear but I hope they will adjust ads content for a video.
